During the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event, besides the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, Samsung also introduced a pair of smart watches. Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. This duo will have increased battery capacity, faster charging capacity and improved durability.

Watch 5 44mm weighs 33.5g, has 1.4 inch screen. The high-end version Galaxy Watch5 Pro weighs 46.5g and is also equipped with a 1.4-inch screen. This year’s Galaxy Watch5 series all have 5ATM and IP68 waterproof standard.
The 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 has a battery capacity of 284mAh, while the 44mm version has a capacity of 410mAh. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro version is equipped with a 590mAh battery for 80 hours of use or 20 hours of continuous GPS use. Besides the larger battery, Samsung also improved fast charging speed. According to an announcement from Samsung, the Galaxy Watch 5 series will charge 45% of the battery within 30 minutes.
Regarding finishing materials, the Galaxy Watch 5 series is equipped with a screen made from high-quality and more durable Sapphire stone. Sapphire glass surface will provide 60% better scratch resistance than regular glass. Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is equipped with a raised Titanium frame to help protect the screen when impact occurs.
In terms of performance, the Galaxy Watch 5 series is equipped with the Exynos W920 chip that was used on the Galaxy Watch 4 series. Memory is the same as the previous generation when equipped with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. All three versions of Galaxy Watch 5 will be available with the latest version of OneUI Watch 4.5. In terms of features, the Galaxy Watch 5 series has: temperature sensor, light sensor, barometer, accelerometer, Bluetooth 5.2 support, NFC, Wifi 5 a/b/g/n. In addition, it also has other features related to exercise and health monitoring such as heart rate sensor, ECG, electrical impedance (BIA).
Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will be the only version equipped with special features related to maps. On the Watch 5 Pro, users can download GPX routes for walking and cycling and complete with interval navigation. Users can also record data about the journeys they have traveled to share with friends, relatives or those who want to join the journey. The Watch 5 Pro also has a route tracking feature to guide users back to the starting point.
Galaxy Watch 5 40mm includes 3 color versions: black, silver and rose gold. Meanwhile, the 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 has 3 color versions: black, silver and sapphire.
