Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 occupies the top 5 in the latest AnTuTu performance rankings

Performance benchmarking platform AnTuTu has just announced a list of the most powerful Android flagship models, marking the launch of a new generation of mobile chips. The two most advanced processors today, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 from Qualcomm and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, have appeared on commercial devices for the first time, showing initial performance results.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 dominates the AnTuTu performance rankings

The leading position belongs to REDMAGIC 11 Pro+, a gaming smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This device achieved a record score, exceeding the 4 million mark, specifically 4,132,403 points.

Famous for its gaming phones, REDMAGIC has brought the cooling technology on this model to a new level. To maximize and maintain the chip’s peak performance, the machine uses a cooling system that combines active fans and liquid cooling. This complex setup proved remarkably effective in maintaining stability, helping the machine achieve impressive scores in the test.

It is worth noting that all four remaining positions in the top 5 belong to smartphones using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Behind REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ are OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, HONOR Magic8 and HONOR Magic8 Pro. Although not equipped with a “huge” cooling system like gaming smartphones, these flagship models still show that the internal power of the new chip from Qualcomm is huge.

Meanwhile, devices using the Dimensity 9500 chip such as vivo X300 Pro (Satellite Version), OPPO Find X9 and vivo X300 occupy the sixth, eighth and tenth positions. The fact that no MediaTek representative is in the top 5 may be a bit of a surprise, but if considered carefully, the score difference between the two chip lines is not too large.

AnTuTu also noted how it calculates its scores. Instead of taking the highest result in one measurement, the published score is the average of that model across multiple tests throughout the month. Therefore, users should not be surprised if this number is different from what companies announce during product launch events.
