Xiaomi is developing a button-less phone, expected to launch in 2025

After folding phones, Xiaomi may launch a smartphone without physical buttons in 2025.

According to the site’s exclusive source SmartprixXiaomi is developing a high-end smartphone model with the code name “Zhuque”, expected to launch in 2025 in China. The difference between this device and other smartphone models being sold on the market today is that it does not have physical buttons. Besides, this product is also said to be equipped with a selfie camera hidden under the screen.

In terms of configuration, it is likely that Zhuque will be equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 chipset. Unfortunately, other parameters such as battery capacity and screen size of this device have not yet been disclosed.

If the above leaked information is accurate, “Zhuque” will be a big push for Xiaomi into the high-end smartphone market, while also affirming the company’s position in applying new technologies. However, this is not the first time users have witnessed a “buttonless” smartphone. Before Xiaomi, Meizu introduced the Meizu Zero with a similar “no-hole” design, completely eliminating connection ports and physical buttons. However, this product did not achieve the expected success.

Next to the buttonless phone, page SmartPrix also revealed that Xiaomi may equip the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 chipset on the Xiaomi 15S Pro. The device is expected to launch between April and June 2025.
